Your Impact

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a vital role in transforming the food service industry. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that streamline operations for restaurants, helping them efficiently manage orders across multiple channels.

Your expertise will be critical in ensuring our platform remains scalable, reliable, and capable of handling high volumes of concurrent requests and data processing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services focused on order management, restaurant integrations, and data processing.
• Implement robust testing strategies (unit and integration tests) to ensure code quality and stability.
• Conduct code reviews, identify potential issues, and propose improvements following best practices.
• Collaborate with API developers and front-end teams to ensure smooth integration.
• Design and document scalable RESTful APIs for seamless platform communication.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales Engineers, Product Management, Support, Finance, and Legal) to optimize sales processes and tailor product presentations.
• Continuously bring fresh ideas for improving our architecture, coding practices, and workflows.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives).
• Optimize backend code for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Implement secure coding practices to protect sensitive data.
  
  What You Bring
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• Proficiency in Python (our primary backend language) and experience with APIs and web services.
• Strong knowledge of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with popular web frameworks (Django, Flask, Express.js).
• Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.
• Solid understanding of software design principles (e.g., SOLID).
• Experience writing unit tests and integration tests.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for backend deployment.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts for restaurant order analytics.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger, OpenAPI).
